CTE Student Ambassador of the Month – September 2013
Industry Sector: Education
Mikaila is currently a
senior at Grossmont High School in the Education, Child Development and Family
Services Pathway. She is planning to attend college to become a SLP (Speech
Language Pathologist) working in a preschool or elementary school – in her
family, she will be a third generation teacher.
She is glad to have the opportunity to be

Mikaila is an avid reader and movie-goer, but it is hard to find time with her busy schedule. Another thing you should know about Mikaila is that she is a perfectionist and does her very best at everything, no matter how big or small. She likes to help CTE spread the word about pathways because “I think they can be beneficial to anyone who is serious about their future.
Mikaila has already participated in numerous events as an ambassador, including TechFest, Education Advisory meeting, El Cajon Rotary Awards Night, Chamber Building Business Connections and presenting to the East County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. Thank you for all your hard work! Congratulations Mikaila!
